I’m passionate about helping individuals facing major life transitions—whether through divorce, recovery, or existential questioning—find clarity, healing, and a meaningful path forward.

I believe good therapy starts with a genuine connection—one built on trust, compassion, and skilled care. My approach is grounded in research-backed methods, but more importantly, it’s tailored to the unique person sitting across from me. I help individuals work through anxiety, depression, anger, and the deeper issues that often lie beneath those feelings. I’m especially passionate about walking alongside people who are navigating relational struggles, divorce, or big life transitions—those times when we need to redefine who we are and what life can look like next.

Before I became a therapist, I was a professor and minister, teaching history, religion, and philosophy at both public and private universities. I also spent time as an editor for a history publication with a global reach, working with scholars from around the world. While I valued that work, I missed the one-on-one connection that helps people grow and heal—and that’s what led me here.

For over 15 years, I worked in both inpatient and intensive outpatient settings, helping individuals with dual diagnosis issues—those dealing with both mental health and substance use challenges. Today, I continue to lecture at The Meadows Texas (part of Meadows Behavioral Healthcare), where I speak on topics like trauma, co-dependency, emotional regulation using DBT, and spiritual development.

Since 2019, I’ve been in private practice through Perspectives PsyT, PLLC, with offices in the Dallas metro area and Little Rock. My goal is always to help clients gain clarity, change old patterns, and build lives that feel more whole and meaningful.

How I Can Help

Anxiety & Depression

You may feel overwhelmed, stuck in your thoughts, or like you’re just going through the motions. I help clients understand the roots of their anxiety or depression and develop practical tools to feel more grounded, present, and hopeful.

Mood & Anger Regulation

If your emotions feel out of control—or if anger shows up in ways that hurt your relationships or yourself—we’ll work together to better understand your emotional patterns and learn strategies for responding rather than reacting.

Relationship & Conflict Issues

Whether you’re struggling with communication, trust, or disconnection, I help individuals and couples navigate relational challenges, heal old wounds, and build healthier, more satisfying connections.

Divorce, Post-Divorce & Co-Parenting

Going through a divorce or adjusting to life afterward can be incredibly disorienting. I support clients in processing the grief, redefining their identity, and building a stable, respectful co-parenting dynamic when children are involved.

Substance Use & Dual Diagnosis

If you find yourself using substances to cope—or wondering if you’re stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—I help you explore what’s underneath the behavior and build new, sustainable ways to manage life’s challenges.

Grief & Loss

Whether it’s the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or another kind of significant loss, I provide space to mourn, make meaning, and move forward at your own pace.

Existential & Life Transition Issues

Sometimes life brings us to a place where we’re asking big questions—about identity, purpose, or what’s next. I walk with people who are at these crossroads, helping them find clarity, direction, and renewed purpos

Work with Me

I have an office in Little Rock Arkansas and in Frisco, Texas and provide online therapy in Texas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin) and Arkansas (Little Rock, Jonesboro, Pine Bluff, Fort Smith).  If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for something different, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Therapy can be a powerful space to reflect, grow, and create meaningful change. I’d be honored to walk that path with you.

Feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like to schedule a session.
